Australian native bees make a great addition to your garden. They are enthusiastic pollinators and they require far less maintenance than European bees - if any at all. 

Their honey is tangy and can be extracted once reached the right volume. Though we would suggest otherwise expecially in areas where they need all the resources they can to bring them over winter. 

They can be split once every year if the resource conditions are right. When the colony reaches a suitable mass - we suggest the colony be at least 4KG (brood - stores - bees).

This is a complete established colony of the local Tetragonula carbonaria, containing between 6,000 and 10,000 bees, ready for your garden, courtyard, or balcony. 

The colony is housed in a plywood box, encased in a polystyrene block for insulation. There is no need to re-house the bees.
