This 1-inch, or approximately 25mm, riser is:

• Wax dipped

That means there is no need to build and treat the surround before fitting it to the base.

Create a Traditional Hive Entrance

The riser positions the brood box above the floor panel and creates the entrance opening at the front.

Combine it with a compatible 10-frame Weathertex bottom board and cypress cleats.

Useful for Repairs

If an existing base has a sound floor but a deteriorated entrance surround, this finished riser allows the damaged component to be replaced independently.
