InstantVap 18V Lite Oxalic Acid Vaporizer

Manage smaller apiaries with a cordless vaporizer developed for hobby and recreational beekeepers. The InstantVap 18V Lite from Hornsby Beekeeping Supplies uses a compatible power-tool battery, allowing treatment work to be completed without running cables between hives.

The manufacturer recommends the Lite model for apiaries of up to 20 colonies. With a 2Ah battery, it can complete approximately eight to ten 2-gram cycles, including the initial warm-up. Actual battery performance may vary with temperature, battery condition and operating conditions.

Controlled Heating with Clear LED Signals

Dynamic temperature control regulates the heating process and reduces unnecessary waiting between cycles. For a 2-gram quantity, the listed vaporising time is approximately 50–60 seconds.

The visible LED communicates the operating stage:

  • Slow blinking indicates warm-up
  • A steady light indicates readiness
  • Fast blinking indicates active vaporisation
  • Double blinking followed by a pause indicates a discharged battery

The elevated LED position is designed to remain visible during outdoor use without requiring the operator to bend down repeatedly.

Built for Practical Apiary Work

The acid-resistant stainless-steel body provides a stable working platform, while the tool-free dispenser can be adjusted across a 1–4 gram scale. A replaceable brass stem provides access for cleaning if a blockage develops.

Built-in battery protection automatically prevents excessive battery discharge. The selected model is supplied with one compatible battery socket, but the battery and charger are not included. Hornsby Beekeeping Supplies currently lists DeWalt, Milwaukee, Metabo and Makita options.

Always follow its current label, the vaporizer instructions and required respiratory, eye and skin protection. Never inhale vapour or operate the unit near unprotected people.
